Can someone tell me-Why are people so afraid of immigration? Did they miss the memo about the huddled masses yearning to be free??
It's oklahoma, I understand, we don't like people who aren't 'like us'.
If we focused on bringing up the economies of developing nations, maybe this wouldn't be an issue. I know, it's a huge and complicated issue and it upsets a lot of people but seriously, what is the big deal? What are we afraid of?
Did I mention that all brown people are not terrorists? And how deeply is our educational system failing? /rhetorical question
Ok, enough of that, just a response to some idiotic comments from the state's population.
In other news, the weather is fantastic and tornado making today. I absolutely adore the pre-thunderstorm pressure. It's tense and humid and quiet. The atmosphere is on the edge of climax. What we call good weather in Oklahoma includes blistering heat and wind that causes cars to veer off the road. But when it's time for some dramatic rain and explosive lightning, I am mesmerized. Thermo-dynamics in action today, and I'm going to be doing laundry and watching from the porch. I will miss that about Oklahoma. Thunderstorms and porches.

By willful ignorance
You have to believe
Mercy has its own country
And that it's round and borderless
And then you have to grow wings
And rise above it all"
